New Indoor Golf Facilities in Des Moines Area

Four New Indoor Golf Facilities in the Des Moines Metro Area

Indoor golf is a type of golf activity that can be done indoors. This activity is a great way to enjoy the game of golf in an environment that is safe and comfortable. However, certain things must be kept in mind when setting up an indoor golf simulator at home.

X-Golf is the latest indoor golf facility to open in Iowa, joining PinSeekers in Tiffin and Ringer Golf in Cedar Rapids. The West Des Moines location features seven golf simulators, 14 TVs and a full bar. It also offers leagues, lessons and club fittings. Its technology creates instant pieces of information that can share details on how to improve a swing based on a single shot. Its PGA professional director of golf will help run leagues, tournaments and lessons.

X-Golf is located in the American Family Field at Iowa River Landing. It offers a sports bar atmosphere, beer and food and can host events year-round. Its PGA professionals can teach beginners the game and help with corporate and group outings. It is also available for team-building and bachelor parties.

PinSeekers is a hybrid golf and entertainment facility that can be found in Tiffin. It features 56 heated bays with Toptracer ball tracking technology, a full-service restaurant and two bars. The facility is also open year-round and offers a variety of activities for family and friends to enjoy.

The company’s flagship product, the PinSeeker app, allows users to play virtual closest-to-the-pin tournaments for real cash and gear. The app connects with golf simulator software FSX Play and Tour-proven launch monitor GCQuad to offer a seamless integration of virtual tournaments, competitive leaderboards and other social engagement features.

Located at 1515 Andersen Pl in Tiffin, PinSeekers is hard to miss when driving by on I-380. The building is massive, and the team has been working hard to make it ready for its grand opening in the coming weeks.

Ringer Golf

Ringer is a golf tournament in which the lowest scores from multiple rounds are combined to create a single 18-hole score for each player. This format is most commonly used by groups that are playing a set number of tournaments over an extended period. For example, a golf association may play 10 tournaments over the summer.

Tom has a unique approach to teaching the game of golf and focuses on the basic fundamentals. He specializes in the full swing, chipping and putting. He is a lifetime golfer and has been an instructor for over forty years.

The facility offers studio and lounge offerings, an eight-tap self-serve beer station and golf instruction using Trackman technology. It also features a golf league during the week and a Ringer Open tournament in April.

Broheim’s Indoor Golf & Pub

The golf off-season may be over for most metro enthusiasts, but Jon Goes, co-owner of Broheim’s Indoor Golf & Pub, has a solution. The NE Carefree Lane establishment opened Feb. 3, featuring five PGA-sponsored golf simulators that allow golfers to play 66 courses.

The facility is the first of its kind in Waukee, offering state-of-the-art About Golf simulators that are the next best thing to playing outdoors. In addition to golf, guests can enjoy a full bar with craft beers, shuffleboard, beer pong, pool and darts.

Goes, who owns Renaissance Granite and Quartz in Urbandale during the day, credits his buddies with getting him into golf. He says the game is fun and a great way to get away. Hence the name “Broheim,” a play on words of Solheim Cup, the LPGA women’s tournament.

Range Grill + Golf

Located near Life Time Fitness in Urbandale, Range Grill + Golf is one of several new indoor golf centers that have opened in the metro area. It’s designed with a sports bar and upscale cuisine. Framed pieces of fake grass adorn the walls, while large silver balls hang from the ceiling. The restaurant serves a selection of craft beers and cocktails, including shrimp cocktail, chicken de burgo, New York strip, seared scallops and a classic Caesar salad. It also serves elk and bison, which can be found as appetizers, in grilled sandwiches and as meatballs in marinara sauce on the dinner menu.
